The Evangelisches Krankenhaus Göttingen-Weende relies on quality made in Germany in its bathroom design
The Evangelisches Krankenhaus Göttingen-Weende is the largest general hospital in southern Lower Saxony. Day and night, employees are committed to the health and well-being of patients with humanity and state-of-the-art medicine, making it a place where humanity in its individuality is at the forefront.
This individuality is also taken into account spatially in the new building of building 3 and especially in the form of the new comfort station. Here, patients - regardless of their insurance status - can define for themselves which service and comfort will support them in the recovery process in the best possible way. Medical care is identical to the hospital’s other wards.

With 20 single rooms and three double rooms, the new comfort ward offers a feel-good atmosphere for 26 patients. The cosy loggias of the rooms and the roof terrace of the comfort station - with lounge sofa and beach basket - offer a great panoramic view of Göttingen. All rooms are tastefully furnished and have particularly well-equipped bathrooms that combine a modern ambience with a family atmosphere. The accessible bathrooms have been equipped with fittings, accessories and cosmetic mirrors from KEUCO and offer patients comfortable handling with stylish design.

The spacious bathrooms are designed to match the colour scheme of the adjoining rooms in warm natural tones. Two different KEUCO equipments can be found in the baths: in high-gloss chrome or matt black throughout. The chrome surfaces and matt black surfaces stand out beautifully from the sand-coloured tiles, providing an accentuated and stylish ambience.
The IXMO FLAT single-lever basin mixer, the PLAN hair dryer and the iLook_move cosmetics mirror as well as the PLAN CARE sanitiser dispenser create a harmonious look at the washbasin. In the bathroom with its matt black interior, PLAN towel hooks complete the ensemble.
The iLook_move cosmetics mirror from KEUCO with five-fold magnification and LED all-round lighting is used for closer inspection. Thanks to the innovative hinge technology, it is also possible to view the cosmetic mirror while sitting. In addition to being height-adjustable, the cosmetics mirror can be optimally aligned to the side and inclined. Each bathroom is equipped with a PLAN bathroom stool, which is also suitable for the wet area, for example for comfortable sitting showering.

In the accessible wet area, patients shower using the innovative IXMO thermostatic mixer, which combines several functions in a small space. The hand shower and shower head provide maximum showering comfort. The AXESS railing system and grab handles provide safety in the shower and support when standing up if showering while sitting. Can also be reached when perfectly seated: the PLAN shower basket for the necessary care products in the bathroom with chrome trim. In the matt black bathroom ambience, care products for showering can be found in a wall niche.
The focus was also on patient comfort and safety when it came to the toilet area design. The PLAN toilet paper holder and grab bar are mounted at an optimal height. For patients with disabilities, the elegant KEUCO AXESS drop-down support rails, designed by Studio F. A. Porsche, support independence at the toilet.
As a special feature, The visually appealing AXESS drop-down support rail sits flat against the wall when folded up and is hardly visible as a drop-down support rail. Folded down, it is also a beautiful and elegant solution.
