A floor plan with plenty of room for creativity
“Our house should be adaptable and help us to develop rather than constrict ourselves” - according to this credo, Dipl. Interior designer Wiebke Rütters realised her own living dream and built a new building in the Bauhaus style on her own. Form follows function - the Bauhaus guiding principle became an important aspect of planning. The design gives the family the opportunity for change and room for creativity. Generous surfaces and an airy interior characterise the functionality of the house, while selected materials and design elements lend sensuality to the whole. “Thanks to the excellent functionality of the room layout and the furniture with potential for redesign, my family and I can experience a harmonious everyday adventure,” says Wiebke Rütters.

In addition to the opportunity for creative change, the sustainability of the building was an important aspect. The energy is generated from geothermal energy, for example, and thanks to an integrated BUS system, the smart home is perfectly equipped for the future. The choice was also made for high-quality and, above all, durable products when it came to interior design. The bathrooms use chrome-plated mixer taps of the EDITION 400 from KEUCO. They integrate perfectly into the modern, understated interior design, yet still ensure the highlight at the washbasin. Thanks to Wiebke Rütter’s many years of experience, which she also gained at Matteo Thun in Milan, among others, her focus on individual aesthetics in the bathroom has sharpened, while at the same time offering high functionality and quality. The mixer taps from KEUCO impressed them with their high-quality workmanship and special design.
The bathroom is one of the most beautiful rooms in the house for the interior designer and her family. Here they spend important hours, greet and end the day: “The large window front seems to blur the boundaries between the garden and nature, and the bathroom is also constantly rescinded by the unique play of light and shadow.”
With a great deal of attention to detail, a sensible combination of function and design and a stylish selection of materials and products, interior designer Wiebke Rütters has made her personal living dream come true.
