Boutique hotel in Freiburg equipped with KEUCO
The Alex Hotel, a boutique hotel with an individual character, is located on the edge of Freiburg’s old town in a quiet side street. Already in the third generation, now privately led by Mr. Alexander Beinert, the Beinert family had the former Atlanta Hotel completely rebuilt and renamed The Alex Hotel to offer national and international city tourists and business travellers small but fine luxury. The conversion was carried out by the Hildesheim-based general contractor TKS Tenbrink; the architect Manfred Ronstedt from Ronstedt hotel concepts, Magdeburg, is responsible for the planning and the interior design is carried out by the PBN planning office Niehaus, Hildesheim.
With 39 rooms in four categories, The Alex Hotel offers its guests a modern, atmospheric ambience and high-quality, well-thought-out facilities. “Experience the city of Freiburg” was the focus of the interior design. Carefully selected interiors and a stylish home culture create a personal atmosphere. In the entrance and lobby, guests are welcomed by traditional Breisgauer design elements: Deer antlers are used as wall decorations, while cowhide reflects the concept of a regional connection to nature with lightly limed wooden floors from the BIMBO woodworks in nearby Sexau. Accordingly, the interior designers planned natural stone in the entrance and lobby area, which was processed in the Kaiserstuhl in Balingen. Preserving traditional elements and combining them with modern interior design - this was very important to the planners. For example, the originally preserved stair railings and door handles of the ancient and prestigious Hotel Atlanta with their avant-garde interior form a charming antagonism.
The entire interior of the hotel rooms is characterised by understated elegance paired with exclusive comfort. A stylish and pleasant home culture, as well as a carefully selected interior and warm colours, create a personal atmosphere. Exclusive bathrooms offer guests a maximum living and well-being experience: A lot of shelf space at the washbasin, a flat entrance to the shower combined with design-oriented mixer taps and accessories from the Collection Moll by KEUCO stand for contemporary luxury. High-quality chrome surfaces with a special depth of gloss elegantly reflect the light, while straight and rounded shapes are harmoniously combined. For a special shower experience, a large shower head with an additional hand shower was planned. An elegant sponge basket and a grab handle underline the high-quality and guest-oriented character of the bath. Individually selectable lighting effects ensure an atmospheric end to the evening or an energised start to the day, and a permanent LED orientation light ensures a feel-good atmosphere even at night.
